WARRIORS OF PEACEFUL HEART

I am celebrating FORGOTTEN veterans.

Veterans of SUBSTANCE ABUSE; veterans of HOMELESSNESS; veterans of CONSCIENCE; veterans of the STRUGGLE IN THE 'HOMELAND'; peace-loving veterans of countless wars.

Those who invoke WAR DEAD to justify war and their personal GLORY, I DO NOT CELEBRATE. Their celebration is but a cynical ploy, not a commemoration.

I choose to REMEMBER those who engaged in the creative process of attempting peace and those warriors of PEACEFUL HEART.
