RESTORING EQUILIBRIUM

Wishing to leave unperturbed the depths of an equilibrium
Beyond the bavardage of the Internet Cafe- an endless dialog
Of properties and interest rates, of buying and selling...
Wherein we "lay waste our powers" in endless tedium.

Through writing I call upon my "inner medium"
To help restore the sense of equilibrium.

BUT WILL IT HOLD

The local intelligentsia holds sway
As they have for many a day
In their not-so-secret hideaway
Not so far away...

Where they collectively resonate
To their not-so-subtle groupthink
Taking reassurance of safety in numbers
Forging a not-so-subtle grouplink
